Snow White Apron

Mirror, Mirror on the wall. What is one of the easiest projects of all?..........................AN APRON!

This weeks project was a quick two hour Princess apron that you can do using scraps from old projects. The pattern was hand drafted from an older apron I had laying around. The only things I changed was the shape of the bust and the addition of pleats. I wanted it to be very feminine so I drafted the top into a sweetheart (heart shape) and added 1/2 pleats around the skirt and Ric-Rac around the top.

Since I was using scrap fabric I didn't have enough yellow to make the skirt one piece. Instead I sewed 3 pieces togther and then cut it to size. I didn't really like the seams but with the addition of pleats the seams are less noticeable.

When drafting a pattern, use your own measurements to make a custom fit remember to leave room for movement. For my first scrap apron project; I think it turned out pretty good. I'll be reproducing this with better fabric so check out my Esty Account for details.
